Unbelievable. Exxon Mobil just reported the biggest profit EVER for a U.S. company. It raked in a billion dollars a WEEK in pure profit in the July-September period, 58% more than a year ago. I don't know whether to admire the accomplishment or hurl. While other companies are concerned about the economic turndown, Exxon is NOT. I know, I know, they NEED these BILLIONS to drill for more oil- like we can actually drill our way out of this energy crisis.John D Rockefeller and the other robber barons must be smiling in their graves now.
