Hialeah Plants 18,000 trees since 2002

Hialeah City officials claim they have planted over 18,000 trees in their city since 2002. The Mayor and Council members had a tree-planting ceremony April 24 in honor of Arbor day. Wonder how many Miami Springs has planted in that same time frame?

Wow, thats great to hear that the City of Progress has good leadership and is planting trees to restore the canopy after all that has happened with storms in the past decade.

The current Hialeah Mayor and administration really is pushing the City forward. i've lived here my entire life and this is the first time in 35 years I've seen anyone tackle the environmental concerns and actually establish "green" initiatives to go with all the other projects that are rejuvenating this town. Just this morning I drove past the park on lejuene and 68th street that's being completely replanted! Last time I saw trees there was before Andrew hit! Good work and very happy to see this times finally arrive!
